A citywide program dedicated to wine education, lifestyle, sustainability, and the promotion of Made in Italy across one of the most visible international weekends of the year.

Miami, FL (April 27, 2026 – May 3, 2026) - During the Formula 1 weekend in Miami, Federdoc will present a dedicated program celebrating the excellence of Italian PDO wines through a signature event and a restaurant week taking place across select venues in the city. The signature event, to be held at Amara at Paraiso, is expected to welcome over 100 guests, bringing together consumers, trade professionals, and opinion leaders for an immersive experience. Designed to engage a diverse audience, the initiative will highlight the quality, authenticity, sustainability, and cultural identity of Italian wines with Protected Designation of Origin in one of the most dynamic and internationally visible settings in the United States.

Education and awareness around Italian PDO wines are a core pillar of Federdoc’s mission, especially in the context of high-impact international initiatives such as those taking place in Miami during the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Italian PDO wines represent far more than a geographical origin. They embody a structured system of rules, collective responsibility, traceability, and cultural identity developed over generations.

In a city like Miami, and during a globally recognized event such as Formula 1 weekend, it becomes essential to provide consumers with the tools to fully understand this value. The audience engaged in these initiatives is highly diverse, ranging from international visitors and lifestyle-oriented consumers to hospitality professionals and opinion leaders. For this reason, Federdoc’s approach focuses on communication that is clear, engaging, and accessible.

Through curated experiences such as guided tastings during the signature event, themed wine pairings across the restaurant week, and integrated storytelling throughout the activation, Federdoc will convey the full meaning of Italian PDO wines, including the role of protection consortia, the regulatory framework, and the guarantees offered to consumers. The goal is to ensure that, even within a high-energy and entertainment-driven context such as the Miami Grand Prix, audiences can develop a deeper and more informed understanding of the quality, authenticity, and integrity of Italian wines.

The connection between wine, lifestyle, and experience finds a particularly powerful expression in the context of the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix, where excellence, design, performance, and international culture converge. Through this program, Federdoc creates an experiential platform in which PDO wines are positioned within a broader narrative of Italian lifestyle and culture.

These initiatives allow Italian PDO wines to be presented not simply as products, but as expressions of place, craftsmanship, and identity elements that resonate strongly with the premium, experience-driven audience that defines the Formula 1 ecosystem. Miami during Grand Prix weekend attracts a global and sophisticated public with strong purchasing power, characterized by curiosity and openness to high-quality experiences. Positioning Italian wines in this setting reinforces their association with elegance, authenticity, and style.

A key strength of this approach lies in translating the heritage of Italian denominations into contemporary experiences through curated environments, fine dining, and immersive storytelling, demonstrating that PDO wines are fully aligned with modern luxury and lifestyle dynamics.

Miami also represents a strategic platform for promoting Italian PDO wines and strengthening the presence of Made in Italy in the U.S. market. The Formula 1 Grand Prix further amplifies this role by placing the city at the center of global attention. The combination of a flagship signature event and a restaurant week enables both high-impact visibility and widespread local engagement. On one hand, the main event creates a concentrated moment of communication and networking; on the other, the restaurant week ensures continuity and presence across the city’s hospitality scene.

From Federdoc’s perspective, this integrated approach is particularly effective in strengthening the presence of Made in Italy within a trend-driven and influential market. Miami is not only a key U.S. market, but also a cultural and commercial hub with strong influence across the Americas. The visibility achieved during the Formula 1 period has the potential to shape perceptions and consumer behavior far beyond the local context.

Federdoc’s medium- to long-term objectives include strengthening relationships with trade professionals, increasing consumer awareness, and consolidating the presence of Italian PDO wines within premium on-premise channels. In doing so, the organization also aims to enhance understanding of the PDO/PGI system and its role in guaranteeing quality, origin, and authenticity.

Sustainability is another central theme of the initiative. Italian PDO wines are deeply rooted in tradition, yet they are increasingly defined by a strong commitment to sustainability, an aspect that is particularly relevant in advanced international markets such as Miami. Within the context of initiatives linked to the Formula 1 Grand Prix, sustainability becomes an integral part of the message addressed to both consumers and stakeholders.

One of the key tools supporting this commitment is Equalitas, the Italian national sustainability standard, which integrates environmental, social, and economic criteria into a single, transparent framework. Equalitas holds particular significance for Federdoc, which was among its founding promoters and played a key role in its development. Today, Federdoc continues to work closely with Equalitas, supporting consortia in adopting shared standards, promoting best practices, and ensuring transparent communication of sustainability results, in full alignment with the Geographical Indications framework.

In a market like Miami, where conscious consumerism is rapidly growing, this message resonates strongly. Through the signature event and restaurant week during Formula 1 weekend, Federdoc highlights how Italian PDO producers are not only custodians of tradition, but also active leaders in shaping a more sustainable, transparent, and forward-looking wine sector.
