SIMPLY ITALIAN GREAT WINES U.S. TOUR RETURNS TO THE WINDY CITY AND SCENIC SAN FRANCISCO FOR ANOTHER OUTSTANDING TRADE TASTING

Miami, FL (October 15th)Simply Italian Great Wines U.S. Tour, one of the years most anticipated Italian wine trade tastings will be returning in October at Chicago's stylish Hyatt Magnificent Mile and at the majestic Fairmont San Francisco Hotel with an impressive line-up of Italian wines - both new and classics. The US Tour is designed to showcase Italy's vast range of varietals and bring together Italian wineries and US importers, distributors, retailers, restaurateurs, media, educators and other professionals in the industry. Discover the richness of Italian wine through a series of guided tastings followed by an afternoon walk-around tasting complimented by Italian cheeses & delicacies.

Some of the highlights of the tour include newcomers as the Piedmont Red & White Group, 18 boutique wineries showcasing their superb wines from the rolling hills of Piedmont. Consorzio Vini Frascati from the Lazio region will also present for the first time their unique denominations Frascati D.O.C., Frascati Superiore D.O.C.G. and Cannellino di Frascati D.O.C.G. Several wineries from the beautiful island of Sardinia will offer a guided tasting in Chicago to introduce the characteristics of their unique terroir.  Wines from iconic regions will be tasted during the "Veneto, Piedmont & Tuscany: The Iconic Image of Italy" seminar supported by Italian Wine & Style Promotion.  The Consortium of Emilia Romagna returns with another sold-out guided tasting and unveiling of their 2012 Romagna Sangiovese Riserva release in San Francisco. While Mr. Riccardo Ricci Curbastro, President of Federdoc, the only organization in Italy which serves to protect and promote the Italian Appelations of Origin and long-standing partner of the Tour, will advise on the latest Rules and Regulations regarding Italy's DOCs and DOCGs during the "Traceability & Regulation of Italian D.O.C. Wines" seminar.

During the afternoon walk around tasting, trade and media attendees will have the opportunity to meet the winemakers and taste wines from individual producers such as Agriment Italia, Aldegheri, Antonio Roncolato, Azienda Agricola Drusian, Azienda Agricola Ricchi, Azienda Agricola Tiberini, Ca' Tullio, Cantina F.lli Zeni, Cantine San Marco, Castelfeder, Citille di Sopra, Consorzio Tutela Lugana, Gradis'ciutta, La Pergola, Masciarelli, Ornella Molon, Poderi Lecci e Brocchi, Ricci Curbastro, Sansilvestro, Società Agricola Faccioli, Villa Ilangi, Yes Grapes along with Udine Chamber of Commerce, Consortium of Emilia Romagna, Consorzio Tutela Denominazioni Vini Frascati, Piedmont Red & White, Sardinia Wines, and Italian Wine & Style Promotion.
