Simply Italian Great Wines Trade Tastings to Kick-Off for the first time in Toronto, Canada

Miami, FL-- February 5, 2015 Simply Italian Great Wines Americas Tour in its fifth edition will launch in the cosmopolitan city of Toronto, Canada, followed by the annual visit to Miami, Florida from February 9 to February 11, 2015.

Simply Italian Great Wines, presented by I.E.E.M. (International Event and Exhibition Management) and I.E.M. (International Exhibition Management) of Verona, Italy, the agencies which brought the Consortiums of Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino and other Italian tastings recently to Canada, is designed to be the world's premiere Italian wine trade experience. Over 30 wineries will be on hand, represented by winemakers, winery owners and brand specialists to bring the incredible culture and passion of Italian winemaking, glass by glass, to trade professionals and media. In addition, the Master Class "Discover the Wines of Northern Italy", a series of seminars and guided tastings conducted by Toronto's very own Italian wine expert Mr. Michael Fagan, is scheduled for the morning hours to augment the afternoon walk-around trade tasting. Under the auspices of the Consul General of Toronto and in partnership with the Italian Trade Commission, Simply Italian Great Wines Americas will be held on February 9 in one of Ontario's most notable and spectacular museums, the Art Gallery of Ontario – AGO in the heart of Toronto.

"The decision to come to Canada" - explains Giancarlo Voglino, Managing Director of I.E.M. – "was determined due to consistent growth in demand for Italian wines in this market. Canada is actually in fourth place for wine imports and is one of the most valuable markets where Italian wine has seen a steady climb in consumption in the last few years, achieving 20% in wine import market share in value and 17% in volume" Adds Marina Nedic, Managing Director of I.E.E.M. "We feel that Toronto is the perfect setting to introduce less familiar wineries to an engaging audience and strong market and hope Simply Italian Great Wines Americas Tour Toronto will become an annual trade event."

This year's participating Simply Italian wineries include an exciting array of the familiar and the new:

Cantina Sociale Sampietrana, Castelfeder, Federdoc, Lorenzon Enzo - I Feudi di Romans, PR.AS.CO.: Tenuta Judeka, Tenuta Roveglia, Ricci Curbastro.
